PBGSO will be offering whitetail hunts on several different ranches for the 2007/2008 whitetail season. First and foremost we do not mix hunting groups ever so If you or your group books a Whitetail hunt with PBGSO, you will be the only party whitetail hunting that particular ranch at that time. Every ranch we offer whitetail hunts on is well managed and we always minimize the amount of hunts per ranch to what the ranch can handle. PBGSO does not let anyone slip through the cracks due to overbooking like many other outfitters and ranches. Most of our Hill Country Whitetail hunts are non guided we take you to and from the deer stands and you hunt as much as you wish on your own. All South Texas Whitetail Hunts, Mexico Whitetail Hunts, West Texas Whitetail Hunts, and Preserve Whitetail Hunts are fully guided (when a whitetail hunt is fully guided this means you are guided 1 hunter x 1 guide unless you ask otherwise at all times). We have noticed a trend where other outfitters and ranches have moved to the 1 guide x 2 hunters method which is unacceptable in our book you are only getting half a hunt. We always try to be as fair as possible and we have made a reputation around this. All of our whitetail hunts are designed to be customized by you the hunter you tell us what your looking for and what you want in your hunt and that is what we try to accommodate. So if a package below doesn't quite fit what you are looking for please contact us and we will try to put together a package for you or your group. That is why we do not have specific charts with specific dates you tell us when you can come and we schedule around you (we will always convey to you our recommendations when the rut and best times to hunt are). We tell it like it is and we deliver what we advertise! PGBSO has a very high success rate in the 98% range with a 100% opportunity each year on every whitetail hunt we offer. I have written a small article about Texas Whitetail Hunting. In this article I explain Texas: the 3 ways to hunt whitetail in Texas, I break down prices, what you get for those prices, where to hunt, best locations to size of deer available, etc... We have a very high inquiry rate that just have no idea of how Texas works. People see the prices of some of these hunts and are astonished well I tell people all the time you get what you pay for do some research. If you want cheap in Texas that is usually what you get a cheap hunt you do not enjoy. Hill Country Whitetail Hunts
We have several whitetail ranches available that will range in size from 200 to 3500 acres. These ranches are located in the Hill Country or Central Texas in these counties: Gillespie, Blanco, Kerr, Real, Edwards, and Medina. These Hill Country whitetail hunts have about a 120 class B&C score average with some larger bucks up to 150 B&C and some smaller than 120 B&C being taken each year. This is not a guided hunt you will hunt from blinds/shooting houses overlooking feeders or green fields on your own (unless you ask for a guide). We have a 100% opportunity for whitetail bucks on this hunt with a 98% success rate through the 7 years we have offered this package. We have taken 6 bucks in the high 140 low 150 range in the past 3 years last season due to the tremendous drought we were in we did not take as many whitetail hunters as in past years so we let a lot of bucks walk. This season with the tremendous amount of rainfall we have received we are expecting our best year so far. Three day all inclusive Hill Country Whitetail Hunts will cost $2500.00. We provide 3 meals per day, all drinks (we do not provide alcoholic beverages yes we do allow responsible drinking BYOB),lodging for 3 nights most lodging is on the ranch you will be hunting I would call the lodges average they are hunting camps, all transportation to include airport shuttle, Game care to include skinning capping and quartering, and delivery of game to a processor or taxidermist. All processing or taxidermy fees are your responsibility and are not included in the cost of this hunt. You can harvest 1 whitetail buck of choice(no restrictions the best buck you see is the best buck you can shoot), up to 2 does, and hogs if hogs are available some ranches have hogs some do not. Additional days can be added to this package for $300.00 per day per person all inclusive. If you wish to harvest more than 2 whitetail does or an extra buck you will be charged $150.00 per doe or contact us for additional buck charges these will vary from ranch to ranch. We also have free ranging exotics on some ranches mainly axis deer if this might interest you please inquire exotics can be taken for an additional harvest fee on this hunt. We have 4 large whitetail ranches available in West Texas. This area is growing in popularity due to the size of whitetail bucks being taken (140-150 B&C average is common in some areas with larger bucks being taken in these areas from time to time)and the price is much lower than South Texas whitetail hunts. PBGSO has done their homework and has found ranches available for you to hunt in the best areas West Texas has to offer. Update our 5000 acre ranch in Val Verde co. is booked for the 2007/2008 season. The remaining West Texas Whitetail hunts will be set up as 3-7 day all inclusive package hunts. These West Texas Whitetail hunt packages will range in cost from $3000.00 - $4500.00. We provide 3 meals per day, all drinks (we do not provide alcoholic beverages yes we do allow responsible drinking BYOB),lodging for however many nights you book your hunt most lodging is on the ranch you will be hunting I would call average comfortable and clean, all transportation to include airport shuttle, game care to include skinning caping and quartering, and delivery of game to a processor or taxidermist. All processing or taxidermy fees are your responsibility and are not included in the cost of this hunt. This hunt is a fully guided 1x1 hunt unless you ask otherwise. You can harvest 1 mature whitetail buck of choice, up to 2 does, hogs, or 1 javelina if hogs or javelina are available. Predators: you can also take as many coyote,1 bobcat, or 1 fox as long as this does not interfere with taking your whitetail buck. Mountain lion if the chance does arise will have a harvest fee. We have several ranches available in South Texas from 500-10,000+ acres Most of these ranches are located in Webb County or the Laredo area (this county has put more whitetail in the B&C book than any other county in Texas). We also have ranches in Dimmit, La Salle, Uvalde, and other South Texas counties. We break these hunts up into Management or Trophy whitetail hunts. Our 3 day all inclusive South Texas Management Hunts will cost $2000.00-$2500.00 this price depends on the ranch and availability. These South Texas Management Hunts are generally 8 point whitetail bucks that score between 120-140 B&C and our average score for our management whitetail bucks is in the 130 B&C range. We get you the best management buck we can get you. Our 3 day all inclusive Trophy Management Hunts will start at $3000.00 and go up from there prices will vary from ranch to ranch and size of whitetail buck. These Trophy Management bucks will be 8 or 9 points generally and will score 140 B&C or better. South Texas Trophy Whitetail Hunts are all custom tailored hunts you choose how many days you wish to hunt (we recommend 5 days). Prices for this Trophy hunt will start at $6500.00 and go up from there depending on the ranch and size of deer you wish to harvest a good average will be in the 150-160 B&C class range for $6500.00. All South Texas whitetail hunts are all inclusive packages we provides 3 meals per day, all drinks (we do not provide alcoholic beverages yes we do allow responsible drinking BYOB),lodging for however many nights you book most lodging is on the ranch you will be hunting I would call the lodges average to above average always comfortable and clean, all transportation to include airport shuttle, Game care to include skinning caping and quartering, and or delivery of game to a processor or taxidermist.
